Every Modpool goes through the same rigorous process before it leaves our facility. No shortcuts. No exceptions.
Surface Preparation: Sandblasting & Epoxy Caulking
The process begins with precision sandblasting of the pool's interior. This removes all surface impurities, creating a clean, roughened texture for maximum adhesion. After sandblasting, we carefully caulk all seams and welds using high-performance epoxy, sealing any joints and reinforcing potential stress points.
Marine Epoxy Primer: The Protective Base Layer
We apply a marine-grade epoxy primer over the entire pool, inside and out. This primer chemically bonds to the steel surface, providing a corrosion-resistant barrier specially formulated to perform in aquatic environments.
Dual-Coat Pure Polyurea: Ultimate Strength & Flexibility
We spray-apply two layers of pure polyurea, an industrial-grade liner forming a seamless, monolithic membrane that flexes with the structure while resisting impact, abrasion, and chemical exposure. The dual-coat doubles protection and longevity.
HP Urethane Clear Coat: A Durable, Designer Finish
We apply a high-performance urethane clear coat with a custom-colored finish, adding UV protection, chemical resistance, and color stability. The perfect combination of form and function, giving your Modpool its signature aesthetic.
Holiday Finder Testing: Precision Quality Control
No Modpool liner is complete without multiple holiday tests. We use a low-voltage electric pulse to detect any micro-defects invisible to the naked eye. If any are found, they are immediately repaired with epoxy to guarantee a flawless, watertight seal.
